Loving Yourself

It’s February, the month of love! Or, if you’re like me, it’s more like the month of “If We Plan A Date, Maybe We’ll Actually Go Out” month! But as we pencil in date night and make sure we pick up Valentine’s cards for the kids’ class, remember to do something special for yourself.

We’ve been talking a lot about Mind, Body and Spirit. Think of those things this month and what you can do to integrate them into your life. Is there a Yoga or Zumba class you can start taking? How about finally seeing a dentist a year too late? Have you not seen your therapist in a while? This is the month to start loving yourself, by taking care of yourself. Take a pen and paper and make a list of things you want to do and things you need to schedule, then take an hour and start making some phone calls.

Loving ourselves is one of the hardest things to do in life. But, it’s important. In order to live our best lives, we need to take care of our minds, our bodies and our spirits. Think of those things this month and schedule a little time to love yourself.
